Hey, there, and welcome to my blog about the Eighth Amendment.

Now, you’re probably asking yourself, “Gandhi, G-dog, G-money, why a blog about the Eighth Amendment in particular?” The answer is simple: The U.S. Constitution’s Eighth Amendment is more tightly tied to the concept of non-violence than any other. How we interpret the Eighth Amendment is guided on how we guide the phrase “cruel and unusual,” and that’s all about what we consiter to be violent, because all violence is cruel and unusual.

So, that was a pretty quick explaination of my stance, so why have the blog? Well, there’s a couple of reasons.

  1. Get the information out there as soon as possible. Research and court cases never stop, so neither can we. We need to keep the information flowing in order for us to inform the public about the good and the bad that is done in the name of the U.S. Constitution.
  2. Organize. We need to be actively demonstrating in order to raise the visibility of this issue. I’ll promise to bring you the biggest news about the biggest (and the smallest) demonstrations so you can get involved.
  3. Have a way to contact me. Letters are slow. Comments are quick. Feel free to comment on my posts, and I’ll try to respond to as many as I can.

So, enjoy yours stay an keep checking back for updates.
